Electric Renaults confirmed for production

Renault are going ahead with their range of ZE (Zero Emissions) electric vehicles. They’ve announce the range that they’re going to build and even gone so far as to specify where the production plants are going to be. A compact 2-seater for city driving, a small commercial vehicle, a compact saloon and a family saloon. The biggest step forward is that they’re tackling the fuel supply infrastructure problems head on by setting up Quickdrop charging stations – essentially a battery exchange point so you don’t have to wait to re-fuel – your sat-nav knows if you can make the journey you’re planning and if not, will route you via a convenient Quickdrop station, even calling ahead and reserving a battery for you – nice touch. You can also Fast charge in 2-30mins, ideal if you’re just stopping somewhere for lunch.

Zoe Z.E. Concept

This is a massive step for Renault, and one that will see them disappear into the annuls of time if it does not work out for them.
