Music vs Architecture
If you have ears, and if you’re interested in the evolution of modern music, here’s some interesting videos that’ll get you thinking. Someone (@phishtitz) sent me this Vimeo over Twitter – it’s a singer performing the same song in 15 different acoustic environments.
I don’t link off to TED talks often but the above link reminded me of something on a similar subject by David Byrne of Talking Heads who muses over how architecture has influenced musical syles over the last few centuries.
Also, this reminded me of a short film I made with architect Duncan McLeod about how space & light can be used as a building material.
