LHC – Things can only get better?

I’ve been trying not to think about this too much, and i wasn’t worried, till i saw this in the paper:

“Anyone who thinks the LHC will destroy the world is a twat”.

Professor Brian Cox of Manchester University told the British Telegraph newspaper that LHC scientists had been receiving threatening emails and phone calls demanding that the experiment be halted.

But Prof Cox, ex-keyboardist for 1980’s pop group D:REAM, dismissed the hysteria in rock-star style.
