Reactable. Hmmm, music with a tangible user interface
This is beautiful. And incredibly novel. I caught Bjork’s band playing on on Jules Holland one night, but have yet to see one in real life. That’ll be a special moment…
The thing i like the most about the reactable is the way it deviates from modern music box design, harking back to instruments from 20 years ago. Technically, with a different interface, this could fit into the space occupied by a box of chocolates. But the nature of the interaction with this instrument demands a space that would comfortably house a tuba. The interface will no doubt conjour up a new generation of musician, they may even venture out of the bedroom.
